Run for Student Government!
It's that time of the year for Student Government elections! Campus elections will be March 5th-7th but you can apply for positions NOW! Positions include: Student Body President & VP, Student Senators, and At-Large Representatives. Brief descriptions are included below. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Student Senators can pass resolutions and create projects for all of the 5 University of Minnesota system schools. Through MSA, you will have the opportunity to make campus-wide change with committees and have voting rights in forum. In order to be a student senator, you must be available Tuesdays from 4-6pm and attend Senate meetings 4 times per year. This position is great for those new to MSA or those looking to create change on campus.

There are 20 available seats for this position. At-Large Representatives are voting members of forum who represent all undergraduate students on campus. The privileges of the role entail voting rights, as well as the ability to author or coauthor resolutions to be voted on in forum. The main requirements of an At-Large Representative are attending Forum and Committee (of your choice) Tuesdays 4-6pm.

President & Vice President
These positions run together on a single-ticket and have the opportunity to steer the direction of student government. They are the leaders of the student body who work toward ensuring students best interests are represented by working with all MSA members and student group leaders.
All those interested are encouraged to apply, no previous MSA experience is required!
