LAC Student Job Opening - Enrollment Services Assistant
The Learning Abroad Center is looking for a student with intercultural experience to join our Enrollment
Services Team for Spring 2018 and beyond! If you have a student that you think would be a good fit, please
pass this information along to them. Priority will be given to students who can work during summer 2018.
Work-study and study abroad experience is not required.


Position Title: Enrollment Services Assistant
Starting Hourly Rate: $10
Work Hours: Between 8:45am-4:15pm, Mondays-Fridays
Total Hours: 8-10 hours/week. Position allows flexibility in setting work hours based on applicant's class
schedule.


Start Date: January 2018
Duties/responsibilities:
1) Student application and database management, 50%
a. Process application documents and verify applicant's completion of pre-departure orientation
b. Create student information reports for onsite staff
c. Create profiles and applications for non UofM applicants
2) Student outreach and retention, 20%
a. Run prospective student reports
b. Facilitate student outreach and application assistance with prospective study abroad students
3) Administrative functions, 20%
a. Organize documents submitted by students for Enrollment Services team
b. Assist Enrollment Services team in updating student application statuses
c. Create federal STEP reports
d. Assist in management of students’ pre-departure information
4) Other projects as assigned, 10%
Qualifications:
● Interest in international education
● Intercultural skills working with diverse student populations
● Experience in providing customer/student service
● Experience working with database systems
