Welcome back!

We'd like to start off the year with a few new announcements, but before that, we'd like to sincerely thank all who came out to ASU's Got Talent! Whether you were an audience member or a performer, we greatly appreciated your presence. From singing, to dancing, to playing instruments and more, thank you for coming out to support the talents of the ASU community.

Missed ASU's Got Talent? Fortunately, there are plenty of other back-to-school events happening in the community. To stay updated on these events, follow us on this newly launched website (asu-umn.org)! Here, you'll find tabs for jobs/internships, community updates, apparel (yes, we're selling!), and photos/videos from our previous events.

Many of our affiliates will be having events in the coming weeks – don't miss out! Check them out with each newsletter below in calendar view, or on our Affiliates' Events page, which will be updated weekly.

We all start somewhere, like a plant. We are nurtured and grown in different ways, but when we come together, nothing is more powerful than a full bloom garden of flowers. We all bloom together, side by side, and work together to bloom in the hearts of others and as a community.

Lastly, the Asian-American Student Union would like to cordially invite you to our Annual Winter Gala, to be held at McNamara Alumni Center on February 24th, 2018 from 7PM–12AM. This year's theme, "In Full Bloom," surrounds the idea and imagery of blooming garden flowers. Behind this meaning is the hope that we will remember our roots as we continue to blossom strongly together.

Along with our theme, 50% of our ticket profits will go towards our philanthropy, the National Association of Asian-American Professionals (NAAAP), a non-profit organization that strives to empower Asian & Pacific Islander leaders through professional development, community service, and networking.

We hope to see you there!
