Viivncaus: 10th Annual Hmong Minnesota Leadership Conference

The Hmong Minnesota Student Association (HMSA Love), Viivncaus, andHMong Men's Circle (HMC) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities are collaborating for the 10th Annual Hmong Minnesota Leadership Conference (HMLC)!

The theme for our conference this year is: Sawv Ua Ke (Rise Together): Empathize, Empower, Emulate.

Everyone comes from different walks of life, holding different identities and experiences with them. Through this year’s conference, we want to develop understanding and compassion of these different experiences (empathize). In addition, we want HMLC to be a space that encourages personal growth. By allowing participants to build a better understanding of their own identities, we build better leaders who are reflective and genuine (empower). We believe that everyone who attends HMLC will leave more empowered and be inspired to apply their learnings from this conference into their daily lives, their communities, and beyond (emulate). We hope this conference can unify us, and move us to be advocates for change and equity, so that we may “Sawv Ua Ke” or Rise Together.

This is a FREE event for all ages with complimentary light breakfast, lunch, dinner. The attire is business casual.

The conference will consist of engaging workshops and a Q&A panel. We will close the day with a banquet dinner to celebrate and discuss the insights gained from this year's HMLC experience. The banquet will include a keynote, performances, and a space for professional networking. Stay on the lookout as we release more information about our workshops, speakers, and performers in the following weeks!
